AXIS-Y Heartleaf My Type Calming Cream Review for Sensitive Acne-Prone Skin

Even with oily skin, I still need a moisturizer, especially during colder seasons when hydration feels more necessary. Finding the right one for my skin type can be exhausting. I bought this cream after trying a sample and liking how lightweight and fast-absorbing it felt. That was my first mistake a sample isn’t enough to truly judge a product. You only really know once you use it consistently on your own skin.

Texture & Finish

The texture is very light, almost like creamy water. It spreads easily, absorbs fast, and leaves the skin looking clean, not oily, not shiny, and not greasy. From a finish perspective, it works very well for oily skin.

Calming Effect

This cream does calm the skin. It helped reduce irritation and made my skin feel more settled after application. In that sense, it does what it claims.

Hydration Level

This is where it didn’t work for me. The hydration is very weak. After absorbing, it feels like nothing is left on the skin. I constantly needed to apply more, and even then, my dehydration lines were still visible. Calm skin, yes, but properly moisturized skin, no.

Packaging

The packaging was disappointing. The bottle broke unexpectedly, and I’m still confused about how it even happened. Skincare packaging should be reliable, and this one wasn’t. You can see the issue clearly in the photos.

• Packaging was fragile, the bottle broke unexpectedly

This could work for you if:

• You have oily, sensitive skin

• You want a very light, calming cream

• You don’t need deep hydration

Skip this if:

• Your skin is dry or dehydrated

• You want long-lasting moisture

• You prefer richer creams

Final Thoughts

This cream is good, just not good enough for me. It has a nice texture, a clean finish, and a calming effect, but it doesn’t provide real hydration. There are better products that do the same job, and do it better. I wouldn’t recommend this for dry skin, and I definitely won’t be buying it again.
